DMK MP and Karunanidhi’s daughter Kanimozhi was arrested and sent to jail by the Delhi court on Friday. Kanimozhi,who was found accused in 2G spectrum scam, was sent to Tihar jail after the verdict on Friday.Delhi court dismissed her bail pleain the 2G spectrum scam on Friday and sent to jail. Possibilities were considered for Kanimozhi as this was a very big crime but kanimozhi was shoked after the decission was out and was against her favour.

Kanimozhi  was quite at the court but her eyes were filled with tears when she was taken to the police lockup. She was wearing an orange salwar suit and was taken to the tihar jail in the police van.

She will be loged in the prison number 6. 

Telecom minister A Raja is already in the tihar jail. The bail plea of Sharad Kumar, MD and CEO of Kalaignar TV Private Ltd was also rejected by the judge who is also  in the case of conspiracy and bribery of  accepting Rs 200 crore from DB Realty   in the spectrum scam.

“Considering the magnitude of the crime, nature and enormity of the allegations, character of evidence on record and the apprehension that the witnesses may be influenced in case the accused are released on bail, I have no hesitation in holding that both applicants/accused have failed to make out a prima facie case for bail.  Bail applications are without merit and the same are dismissed,”.

the court said in its 144-page order.
