The Supreme Court has adjourned the bail plea of DMK MP kanimozhi to June 20. Till then she will be staying in Tihar Jail. Kanimozhi’s bail was also rejected on last Wednesday by the Delhi High Court.

The DMK MP has been jailed since 20 May for allegedly accepting a 214 crore bribe in the telecom scam that also involved his party member and former telecom minister A. Raja and Kalaignar T.V MD Sharad Kumar.

Supreme Court also asked the status of Rs. 214 crore allegedly given to Kalaignar T.V.

Terming the corruption as the worst form of “human rights violation” Supreme Court asked CBI to estimate the loss accrued to the government on account of licence issued to telecom operator during the tenure of A. Raja.
