BEE CHAMPION 2011 | SUKANYA ROY WON NATIONAL SPELLING BEE CONTEST

Sukanya Roy,the Indian American has won the National Spelling Bee contest. After winning the contest Sukanya Roy has become the 12th indian to win this contest. This is the fourth consecutive National Spelling Bee contest title for Indian-American.Sukanya Roy Won Scripps National Spelling Bee Contest  
Sukanya Roy won the title on Thursday night by Correctly spelling ‘ periscii’ and ‘cymotrichous’ . Indian American are winning this contest from last four years in a row and Sukamya Roy is the 12th Indian to win National Spelling Bee Contest. Sukanya Roy is a eight grader and studies at Abington Heights Middle School.

Anamika Veeramani in 2010:
  • Was just 14-year-old at the time she became the 83rd champion.
  • Lives at North Royalton, Ohio

Kavya Shivshankar in 2009:
  • Lives at  Olethe, Kansas.
  • Spelt the word ‘Laodicean’ to claim the title in 2009.
Anurag Kashyap in 2005:
  • Spelt the word ‘Appoggiatura’.
  • Wins the 2005 edition of the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
Sai R. Gunturi in 2003:
  • Was 13-year-old When became the 76th Annual Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee.
  • Lives at Dallas,
  • Spelt the word ‘Pococurante
Nupur Lala in 1999:
  • Spelt the word ‘Logorrhea’
  • Became the 72nd Scripps National Spelling Bee Champion
Rageshree Ramachandran in 1988:
  • Was just 15 year old when became the champion.
  • Was in the eighth grade.
  • Spelt the word ‘Elegiacal’.
