The 64th annual Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to be held from May 11 to May 22, 2011. The President of the Jury is American actor Robert De Niro. Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan sizzles at Cannes opening ceremony.
The opening film is scheduled to be Midnight in Paris, written and directed by Woody Allen. Melanie Laurent will be the hostess of the opening and closing ceremonies.

South Korean film director Bong Joon-ho has been announced as the head of the jury for the Caméra d’Or prize, which is awarded to the

Italian film director Bernardo Bertolucci will be presented with the inaugural Honorary Palme d’Or Award at the opening ceremony of the festival. Gus Van Sant’s Restless is scheduled to open the Un Certain Regard section.

Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, walked the famed Red Carpet for the 10th time in her career at the 64th Cannes Film Festival. Aishwarya, a regular at the Cannes film fest red carpet since 2002, will represent India this time as well.
