The committee that was setup by the Government to look into the Devas-Antrix deal has submitted its report to the Prime Minister. Press Release

- The government has clarified that RIM-BlackBerry have not provided a solution to intercept BlackBerry Enterprise Service. Messages in clear text can be obtained from the Enterprise Email Server, in readable format. Press Release

- The government has informed that National Frequency Allocation Plan-2008, which was framed keeping in view the spectrum requirements of various stakeholders is in force. The existing NFAP is under review. Press Release

- The Department of Telecom has received TRAI’s recommendations on National Broadband Plan including setting up of National Optical Fibre Agency. 

The government also informs that 2,61,413 broadband connections and 2506 kiosks have been provided till 31.1.2011 in the rural and remote areas of the country against a target of 8,88,832 connections and 28,762 kiosks to be provided by 2014 under the Rural Wireline Broadband scheme of USOF. - TRAI has released company-wise details of complaints against private service providers during last three years. The highest number of complaints were received against Airtel. Press Release

- TRAI has reported that operators in Middle East have  raised the settlement rate paid by Indian International Long Distance Operators (ILDOs) for the traffic from India to these countries. However, the settlement rates paid by the foreign operators to Indian operators is low due to intense competition amongst Indian service providers. Press Release

- ESPNF1 has launched iPhone, Android and Nokia applications which will feature content covering F1 including race coverage, commentary and stats. Press Release

- Ad network, Tyroo has announced new additions to its Sales and Performance team, with Siddharth Puri being appointed the head of the Performance business and Piyush Rathi joining as National Sales Head.
