Pune: Ex-Commonwealth Games chief Suresh Kalmadi was pushed into a corner by the investigative agencies as CBI conducted raids on five of his lockers in different Pune banks to get more evidence against his wrongdoings in the mega-event. 
According to sources, Kalmadi’s arrest is imminent as his involvement in all the dubious deals is almost clear with evidence.
This comes after his close aides, Commonwealth Games Organising Committee's (OC) former Secretary-General Lalit Bhanot and former Director-General VK Verma, were taken into a fourteen day judicial custody in connection with the award of the Timing, Scoring and Results (TSR) system contract to Swiss Timing Pvt. Ltd. at an “exorbitant rate” of Rs.107 crore.
The CBI had arrested them late evening on 23rd Feb, 2010.
